Painting Prince Levi

So it started with how great the reference pic Rob Harris supplied for a portrait of his father. I saw how good that painting turned out and decided I would probably have to start taking the photos myself, if I wanted to create some more dramatic lighting and mood to my paintings.

Once I found a photo of Levi I was convinced would be a good painting the process began. I had the majority of the painting done when I realized I would need to change the hands around slightly to make the painting more convincing.
